West Contra Costa Unified School District’s Full Services Community Schools initiative is improving academic and climate outcomes by bringing community health and wellness services into their schools and creating partnerships with cities, the county and private nonprofits. With leadership and commitment, full service community schools has expanded from providing basic health services in their high schools to elementary and middle schools with an influence that extends to the larger community.
