The Monterey County Office of Education Truancy Abatement program engages student, family and school in a team effort to determine the problems the student is encountering, develops a plan of action and works together to resolve issues. The result is student success in school and positive school attendance. The key components of the program are early detection of truant behavior, and collaboration and shared vision and goal between partnering agencies.
