Over the past four years, Potter Junior High School’s implementation of Potter Pride System of Supports has led to a 74 percent decrease in suspensions with significant decreases each year. In-school suspensions dropped 95 percent, and detentions dropped 13.5 percent. Potter has implemented teaching and practicing of behavior expectations, monitoring and adjusting the program based on data, emphasized counseling and specific education-focused behavior intervention, opportunities for student empowerment, and positive incentives.
