The mission of Downey Unified School District’s True Lasting Connections Family Resource Center is to create strong connections between the community and the district. Through collaboration, True Lasting Connections provides a comprehensive array of health and social services to students in need. This community schools based approach has gained focus in the last several years on addressing the complexity of the achievement gaps of low-income, at-risk students.
